Royal Greenland: Still going strong after 20 years of labelling

Royal Greenland’s HM3000 travelled all the way from Mors to Germany – and is still applying thousands of labels every day.

Back in 2006, HM Systems installed two complete labelling lines with HM3000 dispensers at the company then known as Per Nielsen Seafood in Nykøbing Mors. When the company later became part of the Royal Greenland Group, the lines were moved to Germany, where they were put into operation at the factory in Cuxhaven.

Since then, for nearly two decades, they have been applying thousands of labels every single day without losing precision.

I took part in the original installation back then, and it’s still the same machines I service today. They continue to run with impressive stability, and the customer is very pleased with them. That says a lot about their durability,” says Ole Urban, Service Technician at HM Systems.

HM3000 – built for industrial demands

The HM3000 is known as the most powerful dispenser on the market, designed for high speed and 24/7 operations in demanding production environments. The machine can handle label widths of up to 300 mm and delivers the precision that makes it especially well-suited for companies like Royal Greenland, where large volumes and reliable operation are critical.

Its robust construction in stainless steel and anodised aluminium ensures a long service life – something nearly 20 years of continuous operation at Royal Greenland clearly demonstrates.

Service that keeps the machines running

For companies like Royal Greenland, it’s not only the quality of the machines that matters, but also the service and support they receive from HM Systems.

“We know our customers can’t afford downtime. That’s why we offer flexible service agreements, a hotline, and the option for remote support – all handled by technicians who know the equipment down to the smallest detail. It provides a level of reassurance that’s essential in a busy production environment,” explains Ole Urban.

With an HM Service Agreement, customers are covered throughout the entire lifetime of the system – one of the reasons why Royal Greenland is now also considering investing in new machines from HM Systems.

Looking ahead

Royal Greenland has benefited from the HM3000 for nearly two decades – and the machines are still running reliably every single day. That gives them both peace of mind and confidence in the equipment.

Another strength is that service and maintenance are always close at hand. Ole Urban and the other technicians know the systems inside out, which means that any issues can be resolved quickly if they arise.

Whether new machines will be added in the future remains to be seen – but one thing is certain: the solution from 2006 still lives up to the demands of modern production.
