In 2024, HM Systems placed an even greater focus on sustainability – in our products, processes, and partnerships.
Our ESG report offers insights into the work we’ve done and the direction we’re heading in for the future.
Below, we’ve highlighted some of the key takeaways from this year’s efforts.
We experienced growth in both revenue and number of delivered solutions in 2024.
Despite this increase in business activity, our total CO₂ emissions only rose marginally. This shows that our green initiatives – such as solar panels, LED lighting, and energy-efficient vehicles – are making a clear impact.
It’s an important step in the right direction and demonstrates that growth and climate responsibility can go hand in hand.
2024 also marked a major milestone in our journey toward becoming a more sustainable company.
We now have complete climate accounts for the entire business.
This enables us to work with far more precise data and gives our customers a transparent view of how we measure and improve. It’s a vital foundation for setting the right goals going forward.
Another key step in 2024 was our commitment to social responsibility.
HM Systems was awarded the Haderslev Mark this year [INSERT INTERNAL LINK to Haderslev Mark news story], recognizing our efforts to include individuals who face challenges entering the job market – including people with disabilities, refugees, and at-risk youth.
"We’ve always said that what matters most is motivation, not the résumé. When people are given the chance to grow in a safe and professional environment, real change can happen – for the individual and for the community," says Michael Rix, CEO of HM Systems.
This responsibility is also reflected internally: We’ve launched a lunch program, provided continued training to several employees, and worked actively to improve well-being and the working environment.
This year, we’ve further developed our Linerfree solution and engaged closely with customers and suppliers to explore even more sustainable alternatives for labeling.
At the same time, we’ve made targeted efforts to reduce material waste in our production and make our packaging easier to recycle.
The steps we take, we don’t take alone.
We firmly believe that the best results come from developing together with our customers and partners.
