Droptop in the Czech Republic needed a labelling solution for one of their customers packing fresh vegetables such as peppers, tomatoes and onions. The labels had to be applied to the bottom side of the packs.
The solution was based on a standard HM600 label applicator, which offered the flexibility needed for different product sizes. The solution proved to be a good fit for the application, and Droptop later chose the same solution again for the same end customer.
For machine integrators, not every part of a project needs to become a custom development task.

A printer can be integrated ahead of the applicator, making it possible to print directly onto the label before application.

This adds flexibility to the labelling setup without changing the basic application. And that can be valuable when requirements develop over time.
There is a tendency in engineering to look for the next new thing.
